Review | Silk Naturals Brow Cream

Silk Naturals Brow Cream

Recently, I featured the Silk Naturals Brow Cream as a Monthly Favorite. This retails for $6.50 (2 g pot) and is available exclusively through the Silk Naturals Website. I purchased the sample size for this review.

This product is similar to that of the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade and other gel type brow products on the market. It is also Gluten Free, Cruelty Free, and Vegan!

Let's get in to the review!

Silk Naturals claims:

"Our brow creams are easy to use, and provide sparse brows with a bit of needed color, and a little bit of conditioning from the natural oils.  They're highly water resistant."

Product

The Brow Cream comes in 10 shades. I chose the shade, "Medium Ash". This color is my ideal brow shade, it is a cool toned taupe-brown that is ideal for anyone looking for a universal taupe color for their brows.

As this is the sample size, I have no comment on the actual full size packaging. If I decide to purchase the full size, I will update my review.

The actual product is a thick cream. It is not moussey in consistency. Due to the stiffness of the cream, it's easy to build up the pigmentation so you don't need to worry about picking up too much product or being too heavy handed.

Application

To apply this, I take an angled eyeliner brush and swipe a little bit of the brow cream and begin to re-draw my brow shape. I begin towards to the center of my eyebrows, usually at the arch, and drag the brush down the tail end of my brow.

I use the remaining amount of product to fill in the front ends of my eyebrows.

I had no problems applying this product. There was no streakiness, uneven pigmentation, or problems with patchiness.

If you have tried the NYX Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade (Review HERE), that product is much more pigmented and the consistency is softer, making it more difficult to work with. The Silk Naturals Brow Cream in comparison is much easier for application.

Performance

I applied this around 8 am, when it came time to removing my makeup around 6 pm, my brows looked about 90% the same as to when I applied it that morning. In bald areas of my eyebrows, where there is no hair, I saw the most break down of the product.

Silk Naturals does claim this product is water resistant, which I agree, it is not waterproof nor is it completely transfer proof.

Ingredients:

Certified Organic Castor Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Candelilla Wax, Carnuaba Wax. Also contains: Mica, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide

Overall

This Brow Cream is going to be an excellent option for those who have sparse eyebrows and are looking for a way to draw in their brows without it looking too intense. This product does contain coconut, so be aware of that if you have an allergy to coconut. The ingredients are very clean, and given the price of only $6.50, it is definitely worth it! I will be doing a comparison post of this Brow Cream, the NYX Tame & Frame, and the Anastasia Dip Brow soon!
