Ulta Beauty Vegan Shopping Guide

Image
Shopping for Vegan beauty products can be very easy or it can be very difficult, depending on your definition of Vegan. As Ulta is one of the most readily available cosmetic retailers, I have put together a Vegan shopping guide full of brands I would highly recommend! Let's get started!

Ulta Beauty Cruelty-Free Shopping Guide

Image
One of my biggest goals for last year was to go completely Cruelty-Free and promote only Cruelty-Free brands. On my journey, I realized there are different ways to classify Cruelty-Free and it is not black and white. As Ulta is one of the largest cosmetic retailers....and also where I happen to work....I thought I would show you guys how shop truly Cruelty-Free at Ulta. This list will not include Vegan or Non-Toxic only brands. Those shopping guides will be coming up soon! Let's get started!

Elf Good vs Evil Collection Spotted at Walgreens!

Image
On my recent shopping trip to Walgreens I spotted not only the Wet n Wild Halloween Collection but also the Elf Good vs Evil Collection! Elf has been coming out with limited edition Disney themed collections this year, including The Little Mermaid, Snow White, and now, Sleeping Beauty.  The Good vs Evil Collection is Sleeping Beauty inspired and features a Beauty Book and Brush Set, each for $9.99. Elf Good vs. Evil Beauty Book I purchased the Beauty Book which features 2 eyeshadow looks, "Day Beauty" which features 6 brown neutral shades and a red lip gloss, and "Night Villian" which features 6 more grey smokey and bright colors with a bright pink lip gloss. The Beauty Book also features a black pencil eye liner. I'm fairly certain they meant Night "Villain", I'm not sure. If you're a Disney fan like I am, check your nearest Walgreens for this collection! It won't be here for long! "Day Beauty" ...

September Beauty Favorites!

Image
I've been changing up my beauty routine a little bit now that the weather is getting cooler and the Fall season is getting into full swing! Here are my beauty product favorites for the month of September! Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer in "Ultra Light" I've owned this concealer for a long time, and when I recently ran out of my highlighting concealer, I needed one that was a light enough shade that would highlight my very fair skin. This concealer in the shade "Ultra Light" is perfect for facial highlighting! It's very potent, so a little bit is all you need. Be careful underneath the eyes because it can look a little heavy. This retails for $6 in-stores and online at walmart.com . MAC Studio Finish Concealer in "NC20" Unfortunately this month has been a bad month for breakouts. So the Studio Finish Concealer by MAC has been my life saver! It's creamy in texture but thick enough to cover my acne an...

ELF HD Blushes and Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow Now Available at Target!

Image
While I was wandering the makeup aisles at Target, I noticed some new ELF products available in-store. However, I did also notice that instead of just the regular $3 price tag, they hiked their prices up to $3.04 , which makes no sense to me. Keep in mind this is just at Target. Let's check them out!

Comparisons | Drugstore Eyeliner Pens

Image
There are a large range of eyeliners at the drugstore, pencil, liquid, pen, gel. The easiest to apply, in my opinion, are eyeliner pens. You don't have to worry about transfer or smudging, and is definitely a staple for your makeup routine. But do you need to splurge and get the high end $20 Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner Pen , or are drugstore alternatives just as good? And which ones are worth the money? Here's my overview of a few of the drugstore eyeliner pens I've tried and which ones I would recommend.

elf makeup brushes

Image
Makeup brushes are key to creating a polished look. However, I have yet to purchase a cosmetic brush for more than $15. I don't think you need to spend a lot of money for brushes. You can find just as good quality as MAC brushes but for a fraction of the cost. Some of the least expensive ones I have found that work perfectly well for me are the ELF essential eye shadow brushes, the ones with the white handles. They retail for $1 and you can find them at most Targets or even the Dollar store, and of course eyeslipsface.com . However, not all of the ELF essential brushes are good quality. The face brushes from the line don't do it for me. They shed, the bristles are scratchy, and on one occasion the handle completely broke. For face brushes, I have used a couple of the ELF studio brushes. My favorite is the ELF studio blush brush. However, I don't use this for blush, it's too flat. I use it for setting my under eye concealer with powder. This retails for ...
