Drugstore Makeup | Best and Cheapest Places to Shop

Generally speaking, drugstore makeup is a lot cheaper than high end. However, lately a bottle of drugstore foundation is getting up to $15 a bottle! But pricing seems to vary greatly among some brand at stores.

For the brands Maybelline, Revlon, Almay, L'Oreal, Rimmel London, Neutrogena, and CoverGirl. The least expensive places to buy it are usually Walmart and Target. For example, the infamous Revlon Colorstay foundation is $9.98 at Walmart, $9.99 at Target, and $12.99 at Walgreens. Stores such as Walgreens, CVS, and Ulta, are more expensive when it comes to these brands. While they do offer bogo 50% off most days, it doesn't add up much savings unless you have coupons on top of it.

That being said, certain stores carry inexpensive brands only at that retailer or the prices are low and don't vary much. Walmart sells NYC and Wet n Wild products. These don't vary much on the store selling the products. Target also sells NYC, and they also sell ELF cosmetics, which range from $1-$6, a great deal and they have amazing products! And Walgreens, while they are expensive with the brands I mentioned above, they sell a brand called Jordana, very inexpensive and they also have great quality products, they also sell Wet n Wild.

So to recap.....below are the stores that sell makeup and are the brands I recommend picking up at these stores and not others. However, if you have coupons and can work a sale, by all means do it!!

Walmart: NYC, Wet n Wild, Maybelline, Revlon, Almay, L'Oreal, Rimmel London, Neutrogena, CoverGirl, Hard Candy

Target: NYC, Maybelline, Revlon, Almay, L'Oreal, Rimmel London, Neutrogena, CoverGirl, ELF

Walgreens: Jordana, Wet n Wild

Ulta: Essence, NYX, Palladio
