Review: Juice Beauty Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer

Juice Beauty Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer

I have been on the hunt for a more natural daytime moisturizer with SPF. I came across the Juice Beauty Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer at Ulta and decided to give it a try! This moisturizer retails for $38 (1.7 fl oz) in-store and online at Ulta, and the Juice Beauty Website.

For those of you looking for more natural and organic skincare like I am, but don't have access in-store locations to check them out, the Juice Beauty at Ulta is made with certified organic ingredients.

The $38 price tag is quite pricey for a moisturizer, so is it worth it? Let's get in to the review!

If you have sensitive skin, I do NOT recommend using this. The alpha and beta hydroxy acids in the Green Apple line will be too harsh for sensitive and rosacea prone skin types.

The fruit acids are great for those with acne prone skin types as well as mature skin types. These acids will brighten up your complexion, perfect if you have age or sun spots, or acne scarring.

The Juice Beauty Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer comes in a standard plastic squeeze tube. Great for throwing in your purse or storing and not worrying about it leaking.

The product itself is a white cream lotion. The product does have a scent, fresh with a slight lemon scent. The Green Apple line from Juice Beauty does not have that intense earthy smell that a lot of organic products have.

The moisturizer does leave a slight white cast on the skin, due to the zinc oxide from the SPF, but it blends in very easy into the skin and the white cast disappears.

The moisturizer doesn't feel heavy or sticky when applied to the skin. However, it does leave a slightly shiny finish to the skin. So if you have oily skin, set this with a matte loose powder to bring down the shine.

In conjunction with the Green Apple Peel Full Strength (Full Review HERE), I have noticed that this does help brighten my complexion and help treat dark spots from acne.

Overall, this is a good moisturizer to have if you have normal to combo skin types. If you have uneven skin texture or discoloration, the natural fruit acids will help with that. I do wish the SPF was higher, but it blends in very easy into the skin without leaving that greasy feeling that most natural sunscreens have. It's good for what it is, but not a must-have for $38.
