Review: Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

Urban Decay has recently released a new liquid concealer to their permanent line, the Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. This concealer is available at Ulta, Sephora, and the Urban Decay Website, and retails for $28 (0.16 oz).

The concealer claims to be a full coverage concealer but look flawless, but for $28 it is one of the pricier concealers available.

So is it worth it? Let's get in to the review!

The Complete Coverage Concealer comes in 8 shades. I picked up the shade "Light Neutral", this is the third lightest shade behind "Light Warm", and the lightest shade "Fair Neutral". I will say, if you have very deep skin tones, there may not be a shade dark enough for you.

The shade "Light Neutral" is the perfect color for your face if you have a MAC NC20 skin tone. For face highlighting, "Light Warm" or "Fair Neutral" would better suite those with fair to light skin tones.

The packaging of this concealer is very nice. It comes in a glass bottle with a flat doe foot applicator. I find that the applicator deposits the right amount of product to conceal both under eyes.

The concealer does have a noticeable smell, nothing too offensive, and the smell does not linger.

As far as applying the concealer, the consistency of the concealer is not too watery or as heavy as say the Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer. It blends very easy and does not feel tacky or sticky on the face.

I find that once you set the concealer with a power, it does not settle into fine lines. It will crease if you do not set it with a powder.

As far as being a complete full coverage, I have to disagree. It is medium coverage, but not complete full coverage. If you have light to moderate under eye dark circles, this will be perfect for you. However, if you have severe under eye dark circles, this will not be enough coverage to completely erase them.

For under the eyes, it's not too heavy, provides a good solid medium coverage, and lasts about 9 hours before starting to fade.

For putting on the face, it does not slide off, and provides light to medium coverage to acne, scars, discoloration, redness, and lasts about 5 to 6 hours before fading.

I would not recommend using this as a face concealer if you have a lot of discoloration. It won't provide enough coverage.

Overall, this is an excellent under eye concealer for those with moderate under eye darkness. Not great for those with severenude eye darkness or for the face if you can severe acne or discoloration. It's paraben free and is perfect for everyday and just evening out your skin tone.
