Packaging

The eyeshadows come in a metal pan without any outer compact.

I prefer single refill pans as it creates less waste, and I can create my own custom palette with shades that I know I will use and love.

Product

"Lush Olive" is a bright khaki green with a strong orange copper shift and metallic finish. The color leans more gold than green, unlike MAC's Sumptuous Olive. This color will look gorgeous on those with warm undertones and brown eyes.

The formula is pressed firmly into the pan but is not difficult to pick up with a brush. The product does kick up a little bit of powder, but it does not create any problems with application.

The color applied evenly to the eyes and paired well with other eyeshadows. The color did not dissipate or become patchy when I attempted to blend the color out or blend other shadows on top of it.

Performance

When applied over an eyeshadow primer, the eyeshadow wore well for about 7 to 8 hours before starting to crease and fade slightly.

I find that it performs best when applied over an eyeshadow primer and cream base, similar to most powder eyeshadow on my eyes. Keep in mind, I do have very oily hooded eyelids, so those with normal to dry eyelids will experience slightly different results.

Overall

"Lush Olive" is a gorgeous shade for those khaki green Autumn looks---or as an added pop of color for you neutral lovers out there. The formula is not overly powdery or pressed too hard in the pan, so its pigmentation and consistency is perfect! To top it off, the shade pairs beautifully with other shadows! Lush Olive performs as well as its MAC and Urban Decay counterparts but without the potentially harmful ingredients!
