Brow Pomades | Anastasia, Silk Naturals, NYX Today's post is all about brows! Specifically, brow pomades. Brow pomades have blown up in the last couple of years, and become a staple for many who prefer that sharp looking brow. I have several in my collection, so I thought---let's compare the ones I have, talk about shade options, formula, and share my favorites! Let's get started!

Comparison: Microdermabrasion Polishes

Image
I've recently gotten my hands on several brands Microdermabrasion face exfoliants. I wanted to give you guys my thoughts on these three and tell you which ones I would purchase again and which ones I would not waste my time with. I did receive these from working at Ulta, but am in no way altering my views or opinions about these products. Source: Ulta First up, the Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish . This retails for $72 in-stores and online at Ulta. Full size is 2.6 fl ounces. This product claims to "Exfoliates refines texture, promotes cell renewal", and contain "Professional Grade Crystals", "Glycolic Acid", and "Papaya Enzyme". This product is paraben-free as well as does not contain plastic polyethylene beads. Compared to other microdermabrasion polishes I've used, this one asks that you massage your skin for 30 seconds and then leave the product on for up to 2 minutes. I found that when I was rubb...

Review: Milani Color Statement Lipstick in "Nude Creme" + Comparison

Image
I finally made it to a Kmart that sells Milani this past weekend and I was beyonddddd excited! One of the products I was most excited to try are the Color Statement Lipsticks. These lipsticks retail for $5.49 at mass retailers where Milani is sold, including Walgreens, CVS, Kmart, and of course online at milanicosmetics.com . Milani Color Statement Lipstick I picked up the shade 26 "Nude Creme". As the name suggests, this shade is a light pinky nude shade. Those of us with fair skin will find this suites us very well as an everyday color. It is a cream finish . It gives that natural shine to the lips that looks so beautiful, however the color isn't quite 100% opaque. I find this finish extremely similar to the Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipsticks (Full Review HERE ). The wear of the formula was quite good. I got about 3 hours of wear before the shine and intensity wore down and was in need of reapplying. I did notice that on reapplication the form...

Review + Comparison | NYX Wonder Pencil

Image
NYX Wonder Pencil During Ulta's most recent 40% off sale, I picked up the NYX Wonder Pencil in "Light", the lightest of the three shades available . This retails for $4.49 online in-store at Ulta and online at nyxcosmetics.com  and comes with standard 0.04 oz of product. Let's get in to the review!

Comparison | Sephora Brand vs. Ulta Brand Eyeliners

Image
I recently picked up the Sephora Contour Eye Pencil in the shade "Roof Top Party". A full review on this shade will be coming soon. But today, I wanted to compare this Sephora brand pencil to something similar offered by the Ulta brand, the Ulta Gel Eye Liner, mine is in the shade "Moss". Both are a khaki green shade. The Ulta Gel Eyeliners and the Sephora Contour Eye Pencils are both a very creamy eye pencil, similar to a kajal pencil. As a side note, I use these liners are a base for under my eye shadows not as a lash liner and I do apply a primer first. They both last about 10 hours before some noticeable creasing on the lid. Let's get started!

Comparison | Rimmel Lipsticks

Image
Rimmel London is by far my favorite drugstore brand for lipsticks. The brand has several lines of lipsticks; Lasting Finish, Lasting Finish by Kate Moss, Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss, and Moisture Renew. There are a couple others in the lines but I consider those to be glosses. Here's an overview and a quick review of the lipsticks and which ones I would recommend. Note: I do not own any of the Moisture Renew Lipsticks, my opinion is based solely on the ingredients of that line.

Comparisons | Drugstore Eyeliner Pens

Image
There are a large range of eyeliners at the drugstore, pencil, liquid, pen, gel. The easiest to apply, in my opinion, are eyeliner pens. You don't have to worry about transfer or smudging, and is definitely a staple for your makeup routine. But do you need to splurge and get the high end $20 Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner Pen , or are drugstore alternatives just as good? And which ones are worth the money? Here's my overview of a few of the drugstore eyeliner pens I've tried and which ones I would recommend.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil vs. Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, plus 20% off coupon

Image
L to R: Milk Chocolate, Chocolate Soleil The Too Faced Chocolate and Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzers are by far my favorite bronzers. They do not break me out, they last all day on my skin without fading, and best of all, they smell like cocoa powder! They retail for $30 on toofaced.com , at Ulta , and Sephora . Let's get started!

COMPARISON | Eye Shadow Primer

Eye shadow primer is the key to maintaining your eye makeup during a long day. And if you're like me, who has very oily eyelids, its essential and not optional. I've tried quite a few different primers. Let's get started!

Best Primer for Oily Skin!

Hands down, I have the oiliest skin ever. I've tried both high end and drugstore primers to control the oil on my face. Here's my run down of a few that I have tried and my favorite of the bunch. Let's get started!
