FROZEN Nail Tutorial

Image
I wanted to do a fun nail look for you guys for the winter, somewhat FROZEN inspired! I did a basic ombre gradient technique in cool blue tones with a glitter accent. This nail tutorial is super easy and you do not have to be neat with it!  So let's get started! What you'll Need: Top Coat Base Coat Light-Medium Blue Nail Polish Light Blue-Green Nail Polish White Nail Polish Glitter Top Coat  STEP 1:   Paint a base coat onto your nails to protect your nails against staining and pealing. I used the Wet n Wild Base Coat. STEP 2:  Start at the base of you nail and paint one coat of the darkest color, in this case, Sinful Color Shine in " Alfresco ", a periwinkle blue, to your nails. Don't worry about being neat when applying these colors to your nails, the messier the better, we don't want straight lines dividing the colors. STEP 3:  Paint the middle shade onto the center of your nails and blending it into the...

Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette! Swatches + Tutorial

Image
I recently received the new  Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette from Ulta. This palette retails for $29 at Ulta , Sephora , Urbandecay.com . Similar to the original Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, the palette features 6 neutral eyeshadow shades with almost all matte finishes. The shades include: "Skimp" , the only non-matte shade, a satin pale nude with a yellow undertone. "Stark" , a matte nude-pink that is the perfect skin tone shade for blending. "Frisk" , a warm matte gray, deeper and cooler than "Stark" "Cover" , a matte muted red-brown, similar to MAC's "Quarry" in intensity and deepness. "Primal" , a matte muted brown, very cool in tone, almost looks like a khaki brown. "Undone" , a deep matte smokey brown with grey undertones. The colors overall are cooler than the original Naked Basics Palette. There are several more mid-toned shades than the original as well. (L to R) ...

I've really been into the dark nails for the Fall season, and because I'm not dressing up for Halloween this year I thought I would give you ladies a nail tutorial that goes perfectly for Fall and you can rock on Halloween to be a little festive without looking tacky. I used a dark purple and rose gold shade, but you can choose any contrasting colors you'd like. A deep red and black or blue and copper would look amazing too! Products Used: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat OPI 3-in-1 Base & Top Coat Revlon Nail Enamel in "Plum Night" Sinful Colors Nail Polish in "Super Nova" Step 1:   Begin painting a base coat onto your nails to protect the names from staining and help maintain the nail color we will be putting on. Step 2: Begin painting one coat of nail polish to each nail, in my case, Revlon Nail Enamel "Plum Night".  Step 3: Once the first coat of "Plum Night" is dry, begin painting the second ...

Reverse French Manicure Tutorial!

Image
Here is a quick and easy nail tutorial for you guys! This is a reverse french manicure tip that uses OPI's "Did You Ear' About Van Gogh?"(Review HERE ) and Wet n Wild's "Black Creme". Step 1: Place a base coat onto your nails to prevent staining. I used the OPI 3-in-1 Strengthener. Step 2: Paint 2 coats of the OPI "Did You Ear' About Van Gogh?", or any other nude color that you prefer, onto each nail, taking time between each coat to let it dry. Step 3: Once the OPI polish is dry, go in with the Wet n Wild "Black Creme", or any black nail polish, and paint just the tips of your finger nails. One coat is plenty. Step 4: Once the black nail polish on your finger nail tips is dry, not tacky, go in with your top coat to seal in the color and prevent chipping. Once again I used the OPI 3-in-1 Strengthener. (Left) OPI "Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?", (Right) Wet n Wild "Black Creme" And TA DA...
