Review: Stila The Natural Palette + SWATCHES

The Natural Palette
Stila

I recently received the Stila "The Natural" Palette for Christmas and thought I would give you guys my thoughts on it. This palette is exclusive to Ulta and retails for $20. There are two other palettes to this line; the . This palette is featured in the Ulta Exclusive "Beauty In the Buff" Set.

"The Natural Palette" features 6 powder eyeshadows, 1 powder bronzer, and 1 powder highlighter. The palette is the traditional cardboard booklet with a mirror on the left-hand side and the powder products on the right-hand side. The palette is quite small in size and very sleek, not bulky or heavy. Perfect for travel.

The 6 powder eyeshadows included in the palette are as follows:

Pure- a matte ivory.
Linen- a matte light nude beige.
Innocent- a matte medium warm mauve brown.
Element- a metallic cool khaki brown.
Demure- a metallic light pink champagne
Silk- a metallic dark purple brown.

The powder highlighter included in the palette is the All-Over Shimmer Powder in "Organza".

The powder bronzer included in the palette is in the shade "Soft Clay".

These eyeshadows are amazing quality! They remind me a lot of the powder eyeshadows by MAC. They're very soft, pigmented, and easy to blend out without being patchy. They do kick up a little bit of powder so be sure to tap off the excess before applying them to your eye to avoid fallout. They also did not crease on my eyelids after wearing them all day with an eye primer underneath.

The light matte shades do require a little more product to build up the color. They are less pigmented and soft as the other shades in the palette.

I won't lie, I wanted this palette solely for the highlighter. I swatched it before I purchased it, and I fell in love! This pinky champagne shade is very high shine and shimmery, but not glittery. It reminded me a lot of theBalm's Cindy-Lou Manizer. Both are a champagne with pink tones.

I absolutely love this highlighter, it lasts all day with almost no fading. The texture is very soft, highly pigmented, and blends into the skin easily without looking chalky. However, if you're skin tone is any deeper than say a MAC NC35, a medium skin tone, this may look ashy on you so I would not recommend it.

The bronzer, is a warm bronze brown with shimmer. While the bronzer is very shimmery in the swatches and in the pan, it does not look overly shimmery on the skin and adds a very nice glow to the skin and doesn't look too orange.

Unlike the highlighter that is very soft and only needs one swipe to achieve a lot of color, the bronzer is less intense and needs multiple layers to achieve an intense amount of color. Which is fine because you can build up the color as much as you'd like.

Overall, I absolutely love this palette! The highlights of the palette are the metallic eyeshadows and the powder highlighter. They're buttery soft and very pigmented! The matte shades could be a little more soft and pigmented. If you have an Ulta near you I highly recommend checking to see if they have this in-stock, as it is available only in-store. For $20 why not!!
