Review: Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum

Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum

I finally picked up another product from the Juice Beauty line. This brand offers skin care and cosmetics that are made with certified Organic ingredients, and are gluten and cruelty free. The Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum retails for $29 (2 fl oz) and is available in-store and online at Ulta, and the Juice Beauty Website.

For those like me who struggle daily with acne, finding the right products that help treat existing acne and don't cause any breakouts can be difficult. So far, I have loved most of the Juice Beauty products I have tried.

So let's get in to the review!

Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum

Juice Beauty claims this product:

"Reduce breakouts, unclog pores, and even skin tone with this powerful serum packed with willow bark, salicylic acid and organic fruit acids; while CoQ10, Vitamin C and organic aloe renew the skin for a healthy, clear complexion. Clears While Hydrates."

The serum comes in a clear glass bottle with a dropper top. It's not the most ideal packaging, you're prone to depositing more product than you need, and it's not ideal for travel. I recommend using just a quarter of a drop, barely a dime sized amount to cover the entire face.

The actual product is a light brown color. The texture is a watery jam consistency. The serum does not feel sticky or heavy when applied to the face. However, it does take some work to completely blend it into the skin. Works well under makeup.

It does have a slight scent. Slightly bitter and sweet. The scent disappears after several minutes on the skin.

Juice Beauty Blemish Control Serum

As far as reducing breakouts, I do see a difference in the amount of acne when using this serum along with maintaining a cleansing routine twice a day.

However, I did not see this helping even out my skin tone. My go-to product for evening out my skin tone and brightening is the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Full Strength, review HERE.

Despite being an acne product, it is not drying in the slightest. It feels very hydrating on the skin, and my skin feels smoother and healthier after each use.

For those who suffer from mild to moderate acne, you'll like this product. It's a great additional step to add into your routine to help treat existing and prevent future breakouts. Whether you have oily or dry skin, this will work for your skin type.

If you suffer from severe acne, first find a great cleanser. This product won't clear up all your acne in one day, but it's a great add on to your routine.

Overall, this serum works well for all skin types that suffer from acne. It helps reduce the appearance of existing acne and help prevent future breakouts. However, it doesn't live up to its claims of evening out the skin tone or unclogging pores. If you have sensitive skin, do a small skin test, as this product does contain strong fruit acids. This is not a must have product that your skin routine needs, but it's a great additional step to help really control your acne.

NEED IT (But not really....)
