REVIEW | 100% Pure 2nd Skin Concealer

One of the few liquid concealers on the Green Beauty market, the 100% Pure 2nd Skin Concealer retails for $29 (0.17 fl oz) and is available on the 100% Pure Website and Dermstore.

A creamy concealer colored from fruit pigments and hydrating olive squalane. It's easily blendable and buildable, giving you even coverage with a natural finish, that looks and feels like a second skin. This skin-perfecting formula is as healthy as it is luxurious.

Packaging


The concealer is packaged in a standard plastic tube with a doe foot applicator. No problems with the packaging and it is ideal for storage and travel.



Product


The 2nd Skin Concealer is available in 7 shades. I wear the shade "Creme", the lightest color. The color leans slightly warm toned, it is ideal for those with a fair/light complexion with a warm undertone. Along the lines of MAC NC20 and Estee Lauder 1N1. If you are lighter than a MAC NC15, there will not be a shade light enough for you.


The concealer has a thin liquid consistency that does blend out easily. It provides light coverage that is slightly buildable, but not enough to achieve a medium coverage. It is able to even out discoloration but does not cancel out under eye darkness completely. It works well for on the face if you have minor blemishes or discoloration that you wish to even out but not completely cover up.


There is a slight paint-like smell, but it is not noticeable once it's applied on the face.

Performance


When applied under the eyes and set with a loose powder, the concealer wore well for 7 hours before it started to fade. I recommend always setting your under eye concealer area with a loose powder to increase wear time and prevent creasing.


Other than some very minor settling into my fine lines, the concealer did not emphasize fines lines/wrinkles or look overly dry. The formula is not particularly moisturizing and is best suited for those with normal to combo skin types.


Due to its light coverage, I would not recommend this if you are trying to conceal intense acne or discoloration.


Definitely not the longest wearing concealer I have tried, but it wore very well on an everyday basis.

Overall


I love this concealer for a natural effect that does not look heavy under the eye or the face. I hope they expand the shade range to include a lighter shade for a brightening effect under my eyes. If you're in the market for a light coverage concealer that will not emphasize fine lines and wrinkles, and won't dry out your under eyes, and leaves a natural finish, this is for you. This concealer truly looks like a "second skin". It is not for someone looking to cancel out intense dark circles or imperfections.
