Let's get into the review!

Silk Naturals claims:

Velvet Matte Lipsticks are packed with pigment, and nourishing oils like jojoba, and meadowfoam. They condition and add super saturated color. There is a little bit of sheen from the oils that goes away within the first hour. To get them to be completely matte just give them a little blot.

These are a true multi-purpose product. You can use them as a lipstick, or blot to make them into a lip liner. They're also wonderful as cream blushes.

Packaging

The Velvet Matte Lipsticks are packaged in a small plastic lipstick tube. The bullet is cut flat, and you must twist up from the bottom to dispense more product.

While it's not the most stylish or glamorous packaging, it's simple and functional. I actually love how small the tube is---it fits perfectly inside my tiny purse.

Product

Tulle is a light nude mauve with a slightly cool neutral undertone and cream finish. The color is similar to the Silk Naturals Velvet Matte Lipstick in "Garter" but lighter and less pink. It is darker and more mauve than MAC's Amplified Creme Lipstick in "Blankety"

This shade would be flattery for those with fair to light skin tones with a neutral or cool undertone.

This shade had excellent pigmentation but required a couple of swipes for complete opacity. The formula leaves a natural shine finish to the lips and does not dry down to a completely matte finish. It is not transfer resistant.

The formula of the Velvet Matte Lipstick reminds me of the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks but less emollient and does not bleed outside of the lip lines.

Currently, there are 36 shades of the Velvet Matte Lipsticks available.

Performance

Tulle lasts on the lips for around 4 and a half hours before the color fades near the center of the lips.

Unlike the many emollient lipsticks, this formula did not bleed or become crumbly on the lips throughout the day. While it may not be the most long-wearing formula, it reapplies beautifully and feels comfortable and not drying.

Ingredients:

Fractionated coconut oil, Castor Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Candelilla Wax, Carnauba Wax, Vanilla scented fractionated coconut oil. Also contains: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Manganese Violet

Overall

Tulle has the same excellent quality formula that I have come to love from the Silk Naturals Velvet Matte Lipsticks. It is pigmented, easy to apply, and wears well throughout the day. If you're someone who prefers a cooler-toned nude lipstick, Tulle might just be the perfect light nude for you! And with it's clean ingredients and affordable price tag, you cannot go wrong with the Velvet Matte Lipsticks.
