The Lipstick packaging is a beautiful nude pink metal lipstick tube with flower detailing.

Product
"Sonora" is a matte bright warm toned red. The shade is similar to the Wet n Wild LE Mega Last Lipstick in Sunset Siren but less red. It is also similar to Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in "Gazpacho" but lighter and warmer, and the formula is less emollient. The color would be flattering on most skin tones, particularly those with warm undertones.

The lipstick is a creamy matte consistency, but it does not feel drying on the lips and does not emphasize dryness or cling to dry skin.
There is a slight sweet fruity scent to the lipsticks. It does dissipate after application. I actually enjoy the scent, it is not artificial so I don't think most people would have a problem with it.
There are currently 11 shades in the Cocoa Butter Semi-Matte Lipstick range, with several new shades arriving this Fall!

Performance
The formula of this lipstick dries down to an almost completely matte finish, with a very slightly creaminess towards the center of the lips. While the lipstick claims to be opaque, I did have to go over my lips with several passes to achieve a completely opaque look.
Even after eating a meal from Taco Bell (yes, there's Vegan options at Taco Bell!), the lipstick barely budged!
After 10 hours, the lipstick had just the slightest of wear towards the inner corners of my mouth, but that's it! This formula is hands down the longest wearing clean lipstick I have ever tried. It's amazing! For those that need a very long-wearing lipstick, give these ones a shot!
Unlike many of the Bite Beauty lipstick formulas, this formula did not bleed outside of my lip line throughout the day.

Overall
The Cocoa Butter Semi-Mate Lipsticks have AMAZING staying power, good pigmentation, and have a very comfortable formula. "Sonora" is a beautiful bright red that is perfect for Spring and Summer, and would suit most skin tones very well. If you prefer a more moisturizing formula or one that is more sheer in pigmentation, this is not the lipstick for you.
