Review // Acure Ultra Hydrating Green Juice Cleanser

 

This purifying greens creamy smoothie-to-foam cleanser utilizes adaptogenic ashwaganda, holy basil, reishi, turmeric and a supergreens blend of kale, spinach, neem, and spirulina to deep clean and refresh.

The Acure Ultra Hydrating Green Juice Cleanser retails for $12.99 (4 fl oz) and is available on the Acure Website, in-store and online at Target, and Ulta.

The Ultra Hydrating Green Juice Cleanser is a cream cleanser with a mint green hue and light floral scent. I use about a nickel size amount to properly cleanse my face and neck. 

The cleanser lathers up to a slight foam consistency but doesn't bubble up.

For my daily routine, I squeeze the cleanser onto clean fingers and then massage it into my skin in circular motions. For a double cleanse, I've been using my Foreo LUNA play plus after lightly massaging the cleanser with my fingertips. I use the Foreo to massage and gently push the cleanser further into my pores to help break up the dead skin left behind and really work it into my pores.

The cleanser comes packaged in a fully recyclable plastic squeeze tube, very lightweight and easy to throw in your shower or bathroom cabinet. 

I really enjoyed using this cleanser in the morning for a gentle cleanse. This product will remove excess oils, dirt, and sweat but will not remove makeup, so you will need a separate makeup remover if you're wearing anything beyond lipstick or blush. 

I didn't notice any skin irritation or surface dryness after using the cleanser with my usual skincare routine. 

If you're a fan of the OSEA Ocean Cleanser, the Ultra Hydrating Green Juice Cleanser is very similar in consistency and performance but only a quarter of the price!

If you have normal to dry skin, I would highly recommend this cleanser for a gentle everyday cleanse. If you suffer from acne or oily skin, you'll need something a little stronger to help break up the excess sebum that builds up in our pores.
