Review | OPI Nail Polish in "Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?"

"Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?"

OPI's "Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?" is a a beautiful light creamy neutral shade with cool grey undertones. The color that you see in the bottle is the color you will see dried on your nails. This shade came out with the 2012 Holland Collection by OPI.

Let's get in to the review!

The texture of the polish is very good. It's very easy to apply, the consistency is not too thick or too thin. Once it dries it looks very smooth and shiny on the nails. 1 coat is fairly opaque but 2 coats is recommended for full opacity.

The lasting power is just alright with this shade. I noticed minor chipping on a couple of nail tips by day 4 and more severe chipping on a few more nails by day 5. The lasting power is not as long as some other OPI polishes but better than some my drugstore polishes like the Rimmel 60 Seconds Polish in "Caramel Cupcake", for which you can read my review HERE.

If you're looking for a good neutral nail polish for any of the seasons, this is a good shade to try. However, if you have deeper skin tones, be aware that this might lean too cool and light for you.

OPI polishes retail for around $9 at Ulta, and other mass retailers such as Walmart, Target, and Shopko.
