The Electrolyte Water Cream is a lightweight gel-like formula with a semi-translucent light blue hue. It doesn't contain artificial fragrance but has a pleasant fresh smell. About two pumps of the water cream is all you need to properly cover your face and neck.

The Electrolyte Water Cream is packaged in a recyclable plastic tube (remove pump and lid to recycle) and a 100% recyclable box.

The consistency is thin but not tacky or sticky and blends well into the skin. It feels similar to the Tula 24/7 Moisturizer. This lightweight moisturizer is going to be better suited for those with combination to very oily skin as opposed to dryer skin types. I can see this being better for summer time over the winter when extra hydration is wanted.

I did not find that this moisturizer helped to control shine, my skin was still very shiny after a few hours.

For my skincare routine, I use this product as my final step; first applying a thin layer of my Paula's Choice BHA Exfoliant then one pump of my Cocokind Acne and Ceramide Barrier Serums. This moisturizer paired well with other cocokind products, as well as my other day and nighttime serums/toners without pilling or creating a film on my skin.

This moisturizer can be used day or night but remember to apply an SPF as the last step in your skincare routine before going outside for protection against sun damage.

Overall

I greatly enjoyed using this moisturizer for my daytime routine. It did not clog my pores or add to my already acne-prone skin, it blended out well without needing extra effort to blend into my skin, and did not leave a weird or sticky film. Even for my skin oily, acne-prone skin, I felt the one downside was that it left my skin feeling less hydrated compared to my favorite OSEA Atmosphere Protection Cream, which makes sense as the OSEA moisturizer is a much thicker consistency.

This moisturizer will be perfect for oily skin types for their day time skincare routines especially for the spring and summer when needing moisture is not as essential as compared to our winter needs. This will not be for combo to dry skin types, your skin will likely feel tight or dry after a few hours. Their Resurrection Polypeptide Cream is better suited for those skin types.
