No doubt you have heard of the term "Green Washing", making a product or brand seem like it is eco-conscious or good for the body when it actually is not. That's what today's topic is all about---brands that intentionally market their products to make the consumer believe they are non-toxic or "natural", when they're not. Here are some brands I have come across that many people consider to be "Green Beauty" brands, but that I consider still toxic or misleading. Let's get started!

Tarte touts itself as "high-performance naturals". Unfortunately, the term "natural" is not a regulated term, such as "USDA Organic", so Tarte can use it as much as they want or wherever they want, and there's nothing illegal about it. It's actually quite a clever marketing tactic, most people associate the term "natural" to mean healthy and good for you.  HOWEVER...

Time again for another Swap for Safer! Today's dirty product is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush. These blushes are well known for their long-wearing and buildable formula.   Despite Tarte being a Leaping Bunny and PETA Certified Cruelty Free Company, these blushes still contain questionable ingredients, and I was determined to find a long-wearing powder blush with clean ingredients! Empties + Mini Reviews I have been attempting to use up quite a few products over the last six months or so, so be prepared for this huge list of Empties today! And this isn't even all of it! Favorite Long-Wearing Eyeliners For the longest time I was constantly trying to find an eyeliner that would not run and transfer on my face. My eyelids are very oily so almost every eyeliner I tried would transfer and need touch ups during the day. Here are a few eyeliners I have that do not run down my face or transfer. If you have bad allergies, oily eyelids, or just have very long days and don't want to fuss with fixing up your makeup, check these out! Also, none of these eyeliners irritate my eyes. Right now on sephora.com there are 2 shades of the much loved Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour blushes on sale for $14 , and these retail for $30 a piece! You're getting them for over 50% off, quite a bit of savings. The shades on sale include, Empowered (an apricot pink), and Fearless (golden pink with gold shimmer). These are new colors and are full size. If you're in search of a long wearing blush, I do recommend picking these up. They are very pigmented.
