REVIEW | OPI Nail Polish in "Got The Blues for Red"

"Got The Blues for Red"

I got this beautiful red nail polish for Christmas this year and I'm just now finally reviewing it. This shade is available year round in the OPI permanent collection

Let's get in to the review!

OPI's Got The Blues for Red is a gorgeous deep matte red. It is a blue toned red but doesn't lean berry or wine, it's a true dark red. It is darker than OPI First Date At the Golden Gate, but lighter than OPI Visions of Love. It's the perfect color for fall and winter.

The formula is very opaque with even just one coat and the texture is very smooth and looks very shiny on the nails. But for true opacity, I recommend doing two coats. There's no streaking, it's easy to apply, and so far, day 2, there is no chipping.

OPI polishes can be purchased for around $9 at salons, Target, I've seen it at the salon inside Walmart, and Ulta. At Ulta, you can use their $3.50 off $10 coupon to save some money.

The pictures below are with just one coat of OPI Got The Blues for Red and a top coat of Seche Vite.
