Review | Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Luminous Liquid Bronzer
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Luminous Liquid Bronzer |
I recently picked up for Summer 2014 the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Luminous Liquid Bronzer. The Bronze Goddess Collection by Estee Lauder is limited edition each summer. This retails for $28.50 (1 fl oz) and is available at your local Estee Lauder Counter and the Estee Lauder Website during the Summer.
Let's get in the review!
The packaging.
The outside packaging is the gorgeous limited edition tortoise shell looking box, while the actual tube is the standard Estee Lauder 1 ounce squeeze tube but is bronze with a gold cap. So this stuff will last forever! This packaging is a major improvement on the old style which was an open mouth glass bottle.

This liquid bronzer is a medium dark warm copper-bronze color with flecks of shimmer-glitter, which is noticeable on the skin. However, the glitter doesn't make you look like a disco ball. It adds just the right amount of bronze and luminous sheen to the skin. And while it isn't marketed as waterproof, I found it was! So if you wanted to wear this alone on the face and go swimming, it would stay put!

The product.
The dark brown color only adds a small tint of color to the skin, obviously the more you add the darker the color. I find that half a pea size amount is plenty to do the entire face. And don't forget to blend down the neck!
The texture is very smooth with no visible streaks. And the consistency is thinner than that of a foundation and blends very easily into the skin with no tacky or sticky feeling left behind.
What's great about this product is the versatility! You can wear this alone, add to your primer or foundation or wear this on top of your makeup for an added bronzed effect.
I don't find that this wears down as the day goes on. The color is just the right amount of bronze, not too orange like a self tanner, so even the fairest of us can wear this. And so far, it hasn't broken me out. As an added bonus, it's paraben free!
Overall, I highly recommend checking this out! Get your hands on it quickly as it is limited edition for the summer. However, if you don't want to spend this much, something very similar is the Revlon Skinlights Face Illuminator in "Bronze Light", which retails for around $12.99 at Ulta, Walgreens, and other stores that carry Revlon.
NEED IT!
