Review: Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in "Sucre"
Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in "Sucre" |
On my most recent trip to Sephora, I picked up a couple more Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayons after I fell in love with my deluxe sample size of the shade Gavi, full review HERE. These retail for $24 (0.05 oz) in-store and online at Sephora.
Bite Beauty is known for their natural and food grade ingredients they use in their lip products, the Matte Creme Lip Crayons are 96% natural and are a much less toxic option while still being pigmented and long-wearing.
I picked up the shade "Sucre", thinking it would be a great bold lip color for any time of the year.
So let's get in to the review!
The Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayons come in a sturdy velvety dark grey tube. Each pencil is retractable so there's no need to sharpen them.
There are 12 shades available in the permanent line.
Sucre is a medium warm pink that leans slightly red when applied to the lips. The color is darker on the lips than the color that appears on the tube. Everyone from fair skin to the deepest of skin tones can wear this shade. It's a great pinky red for any time of the year!

Bite Beauty claims that the Matte Creme Lip Crayons:
"...boasts a collection of beautiful nudes, striking reds, and deep burgundies with a matte yet moist texture. The secret is the moisture-locking power of orange peel wax along with the antioxidant properties of resveratrol. The colors are water-resistent, and long wearing."
The color appears to have a natural shine when first applied to the lips, but does dry down to a natural finish. It does not appear to look like dry or flat matte, just a natural cream finish.
The formula of this shade is very creamy, it glides on easily to the lips and doesn't take much pressure to get the color to 100% opacity. Because they are so creamy, be aware you will use up the product faster than other lip products.
Despite the lip crayon being so creamy, it has amazing staying power! On it's own, I found this color lasted 5 hours before starting to fade on the center of my lips. With a lip liner, the color stayed put for almost 7 hours before fading towards the center of my lips.
The color even stays well on the lips after eating and drinking.
The lip crayons do have a slight fragrance to them, to me it smells like a fruit gummy. The scent stays around for a little while but it's not overpowering.
The formula of these lip crayons feel very hydrating and even though they are a matte formula, actually moisturize the lips and keep them from feeling dry.
Overall, these lip crayons are very pigmented, creamy, long-wearing, and have amazing ingredients! I think everyone will love this formula and this shade in particular is a winner! If you're looking for a new lip formula to try, go to your nearest Sephora and try these out, you won't be disappointed!
NEED IT!
