NEW Burt's Bees Lipsticks + Swatches

Burt's Bees

Burt's Bees has launched their brand new Lipstick formula to their line of natural lip products. The line features 14 shades from nudes to deep reds. These lipsticks are 100% Natural without any artificial dyes.

Each lipstick retails for $8.99 (0.12 oz) and are available in-store at online at Ulta, Walgreens, Target, and other locations that carry the Burt's Bees line.

I picked up a couple of the shades, here's a sneak peak of the formula and some swatches!

The lipsticks are packaged in a square brown lipstick tube with a honeycomb design along the side, which does make for easy color identification.

The lipstick formula is on the sheer side. Each shade does need to be built up to achieve it's true color. The finish is a natural shine, definitely not shimmery or matte.

The formula feels very comfortable on the lips, there's a natural slip to it that makes my lips feel very moisturized and hydrated. Unlike many of the Burt's Bees lip products, this formula does not have a minty smell or feeling. It has a faint sweet scent that doesn't linger on the lips.

I picked up two shades, 530 "Lily Lake" and 531 "Juniper Water"

Lily Lake is a light mauvey nude pink. It is one of the lightest shades in the range. It is one of those go to everyday colors that anyone can wear.

Juniper Water is a dark cool toned red berry with slight tones of purple. It is one of the darkest shades in the range. This is a perfect color for the Fall and Winter.

As you can see from the swatches, the color can be built up quite a bit. I used 5 swipes for each shade to demonstrate how deep the colors can be, but with one or two swipes, the color is much more sheer and great for anyone looking for a sheer wash of color.

If you're looking to purchase these, I highly recommend buying them at Ulta, there is a $5 off $10 coupon that you can apply to your purchase, and right now they're offering a free rose cosmetic bag with a purchase of 2 Burt's Bees Lipsticks.

Plus, you can always use your points to knock the price down even further.

I will have reviews of each shade up on the blog in the next week or two. Let me know in the comments if you guys have tried these lipsticks yet and what you think of them!
