REVIEW | Schmidt's Natural Deodorant in "Rose + Vanilla"

The Schmidt's Natural Deodorants are THE deodorant you need to own. Schmidt's is formulated without aluminum, parabens, propylene-glycol, phthalates, gluten, and artificial fragrance while keeping your body smelling fresh all day!

The Natural Deodorant in "Rose + Vanilla" retails for $8.99 (3.25 oz) and is available on Schmidt's Website and your local health foods stores. 

Schmidt's is Cruelty-Free, Vegan, and made right in one of my favorite cities; Portland, Oregon.

Packaging


The Schmidt's Natural Deodorant Sticks are packaged in the traditional plastic twist up style. Ideal for travel and storage.



Product


The Deodorant Stick is available in 7 varieties. I purchased "Rose + Vanilla"---a heavy floral scent with just a tiny hint of sweet from the vanilla. If you love the aroma of roses, you will love "Rose + Vanilla".


The consistency of the deodorant is firm but warms up to the heat of the skin and becomes easy to apply to the underarms.


This product does contain Baking Soda, so those with sensitive skin may find this product to irritating. But fear not, Schmidt's now offers a full range of Sensitive Skin Deodorants.



Performance


When applied in the morning, the scent of roses lingered for several hours. Later on in the day, the scent dissipated but the formula kept odors away until the very end of the night.


Be sure to apply only a couple of swipes to avoid leftover residue building up on your underarms at the end of the day.


Unlike many natural deodorants, this deodorant needed only to be applied once to control unnecessary odor all day. The natural deodorants from Tom's of Maine, LaVanilla, and Nubian Heritage, all required re-application after 4 hours.

Maranta arundinacea (arrowroot) powder, Cocos Nucifera (coconut) Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (candelilla) Wax, Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (fractionated coconut oil), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Natural fragrance, Tocopherol (vitamin E; sunflower-derived)

Formulated with only safe ingredients, I highly recommend the Schmidt's Natural Deodorant.
