Review // Aether Beauty Supernova Crushed Pure Diamond Highlighter

 

A super-soft, ethereal glow highlighter for the perfect radiant cosmic diamond sparkle finish.

Aether Beauty launched their Supernova Crushed Diamond Highlighters this year and have knocked it out with every launch since! The highlighters are currently available in three shades and retail for $38.00 (0.37 oz). Available to purchase at Sephora and the Aether Beauty Website.

I purchased Pure Diamond, the lightest of the three. Pure is a light cool toned champagne with silver sparkle.

The silver sparkle does not feel like a heavy chunky glitter on the face and it did not cause any sensitivity or irritation around the eye.

The high glitter finish is definitely what attracted me most to the this shade. It reflects and catches the light beautifully and is the perfect highlighter for those that want an intense and highly pigmented color. 

I would say most skin tones can wear this color despite it being lighter in tone. If you're very yellow toned, Pink or Yellow Diamond would be a better option for a warmer tone.

Like all Aether powder products, the highlighter comes packaged in a 100% recyclable cardboard compact - no magnets, no mirror. As someone who likes as minimal waste as possible, I fully support it!

Despite it being cardboard, the compact still feels like a luxury product and looks gorgeous.

The powder itself is soft, but not super buttery to the touch so you won't hit pan after a few uses. I would recommend applying this product with a dense powder brush to pick up the most pigmentation and will carry the product wherever you want to put it. 

Applying it with a finger will also give you intense pigmentation but will be more difficult to blend out.

The highlighter applies well over bare skin and over foundation. I did not have any problems blending it into my blush and bronzer.

While I do have oily skin, the highlighter still wore well for a solid 8 hours before the high shine started to fade slightly.

I would highly recommend the Supernova Crushed Pure Diamond Highlighter for anyone looking for a highlighting product that is blinding and intense. This is not for anyone looking for a subtle glow. The color is also great for highlighting the eyes and brow bone.
