Review // cocokind Daily SPF 32
Cocokind's Daily lightweight, mineral-based SPF 32 uses reef-safe zinc oxide, blue phytoplankton and microalgae to protect skin against UVA and UVB rays, blue light and pollution damage.
The cocokind Daily SPF 32 retails for $25 (1.7 oz) and is available on the cocokind website*, online only at Ulta, and in-stores at Whole Foods and Target.

The Daily SPF 32 is a white cream with medium thick consistency but once rubbed into the skin becomes transparent. It has a light traditional sunscreen scent (no coconut, fruity, or warm added fragrance). Packaging is a fully recyclable sugarcane tube (NOT plastic).
This product is a completely physical sunscreen with a zinc oxide base. If you are allergic to physical sunscreens, unfortunately you will have to skip this one.
This is not a typical heavy sticky sunscreen like for the body. The formula is not sticky or tacky but does leave the skin looking shiny, so if you don't want the shiny appearance, set with a translucent powder.
Per cocokind
☀️ helps protect skin against sunburn, skin damage, early aging, and environmental stress
💻 defends skin against damage from sun, pollution, and blue light
⭐️ helps absorb excess oil for a satin-smooth finish
💫 doesn’t leave a greasy or sticky feel
This SPF can be used both on the face and body. However, because it is only spf 32, I typically only apply this product on the face and neck. For the best application, I squeeze about a raspberry size amount onto my fingers and rub the product between my hands to warm it up and then apply directly to my face and down my neck.
I continue to rub the product into my skin gently for a couple of minutes to let the white cast blend away. I tend to use the back of my hands to really work the product in. There is zero pilling, emphasizing of dry skin, or difficulty blending out this product.
I do not notice any issues with applying this product under makeup or over my existing skincare routine. I have acne prone skin and this product does not cause any breakouts when rinsed off at the end of the day.
Overall
This is my go-to sunscreen. It is the best performing sunscreen available in-store for a physical facial sunscreen that is cruelty-free, vegan, and formulated with conscious ingredients. I would not use this on the body if you're going to be outside longer than one hour. For long days outside, I would recommend an SPF 50.
The Daily SPF 32 is a cream formula so it does require more blending to achieve a completely transparent finish. An alternative that is thinner in consistency and more translucent is the Earth Harbor Eclipse Sheer Mineral Sunscreen*. If the Earth Harbor sunscreen was available in a larger size it would be my favorite, but for 1 oz, $25 is a bit high so the cocokind is a much better value.
With daily use, I go through one tube every 2 to 3 months. Definitely pick it up during the Whole Foods Beauty Week sale in March or when cocokind is running a sale on their website to get this product at a discount!
