DIY Charcoal Mask

Image
I love making my own skin care, and recently I've wanted to get back into trying facial masks! I've heard amazing things about charcoal and its properties that remove grime and bacteria from your pores. So, being the sensitive skin acne prone girl I am, I figured I would give a DIY charcoal mask a shot! And it costs less than $5!! What you'll need for this project: Charcoal powder( I used CharcoCaps Charcoal Dietary Supplements, $4.44) Aloe Vera Gel Water Tea Tree Oil (OPTIONAL) Container Step 1: Find a small container to put the mask in. Step 2:   Measure out equal parts of the charcoal power, Aloe Vera gel, and water. For this recipe, I used 1 teaspoon of each. If using the CharcoCaps, 1 teaspoon equals 4 capsules. Be careful separating the CharcoCaps, the powder can be messy. Step 3:   Mix together the Aloe Vera, water, and charcoal powder inside your container. If you choose to add in tea trea oil, now is the time, just a couple drops is...

How To Keep Your Eye Brows in Place! TIP!

Image
While I was watching The Beauty Vault's eye brow tutorial on Youtube ( HERE ), she mentioned a beauty tip on how to keep your eye brows in place without using eye brow gel! She recommended using hairspray ! Just spray it onto a spoolie and brush it through your brows!  Spoolie I was skeptical of trying this, as I was used to homemade tips like this not working for me. I have very difficult to manage brows, and finding a paraben-free brow gel is not easy, there's very few. So I figured, why not give this a try. I was amazed at how well this kept my brows in place ! I found that my brows did not fall nearly or at all like they have using other brow gels from the drugstore after the 9 hour mark. The stronger and more long lasting the hold of the hairspray, the better! I used the Pantene Pro-V Hairspray, but you can use whatever hairspray you prefer. If you're looking for a spoolie, Sonia Kashuk makes a cheap one that is available at Target for $1.99. ...

DIY Z Palette

Image
After my Essence Blush Compacts broke, I decided I needed to put them in a palette. However, I did not want to spend $20 for a single palette. I found a great DIY Z Palette tutorial on Youtube ( DIY Magnetic Makeup Palette (Z Palette Inspired) ! ). This tutorial uses a watercolor paint set, I'd seen a lot of people use DVD cases but I didn't care for the look of them. So all you need for this DIY Z Palette is.... A watercolor paint set (I suggest using the 16 Color Rose Art set because they have less plastic to remove and its large enough to hold blushes and powders, mine retailed for $2.79 at KMart) A magnetic adhesive strip  (these can be found a most craft stores, mine retailed for $2.79 at Michaels ) A box cutter (for cutting down the magnetic strip and removing the excess plastic)  (OPTIONAL) Duct Tape (to cover the magnetic strip) Let's Get Started!! STEP 1: Remove the paints from inside of the water color set.  STEP...
