March Beauty Favorites

March Beauty Favorites

This past month has been dedicated to using products that will help rid my face of acne. Every single one of these products have been my staple and go-to every single day to ensure my makeup stays on all day, and my skin stays relatively acne free.

Coincidentally, all of these favorites are cruelty free!

Let's get into my March Beauty Favorites!

Red Apple Lipstick Eyeshadow in "Black Magic"

Red Apple Lipstick in "Black Magic"

This matte black pressed eyeshadow from Red Apple Lipstick is the perfect intense matte black for smokey eyes and for creating your own winged liner. I have been placing this color in the outer v of my eye and blending it up into the crease for a more dramatic daytime smokey eye.

I never have to worry about this shade giving any fallout, looking patchy or uneven, and it blends so nicely with any other eyeshadow I decided to pair it with. If you are going to purchase one Red Apple Lipstick eyeshadow, I definitely recommend Black Magic.

Left to Right: Honeybee Garden "Canterbury", MAC "Quarry"

Since starting my green beauty journey, I really wanted to find a cleaner dupe for the MAC Eyeshadow in "Quarry". Well, the Honeybee Gardens Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow in "Canterbury", is it! They're almost identical in color, Canterbury is just a teeny bit lighter, but on the eye, they're the same light dusty mauve brown.

This shade is soft to the touch (very similar in consistency to the LORAC PRO eyeshadows) and is very blendable and pigmented! It can be too pigmented if you're not careful, so be sure to tap off the excess. This is one of my go-to shades for the crease, particularly if you have green eyes, the subtle mauve tones will make any green eyes pop!

If you love easy eyeshadow looks, are a matte shadow lover, or need a one-and-done eyeshadow look, this is it. Pop this color in your crease, blend it out, and you're good to go!

Burt's Bees Lipstick in "Lily Lake"

I won't lie, when I first purchased this shade, I loved the color, but the longevity was poor (expect the color to last about 3 hours before you need to re-apply). However, "Lily Lake" is the perfect light neutral mauvey pink that looks great on every skin tone.

I have used this color almost every single day when I need to throw on a lipstick after lunch when I don't want to fuss with a bold lip color, and I need a color that will go with everything! This lipstick formula glides onto the lips beautifully, leaves your lips feeling hydrated, and is the ideal "throw in your purse" formula.

I can't say enough how much I love this shade when I need color on my lips. I wear it on dramatic makeup days, and days when I'm wearing no makeup, it's that versatile.

I have long praised the amazing formula of the Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayons. They're highly pigmented, very long-wearing,  and they hydrating to the lips. They're the perfect formula, and they're 96% natural.

This month I've been obsessed with wearing variations of a bold red lip, and "Brandy" is the perfect medium red raspberry color that will look gorgeous on everyone. The color is opaque, smooth, makes your lips look healthy and full, and the color lasts all day until you decide to take it off.

Acure Brightening Facial Scrub

The newest addition to my skincare routine is this Brightening Facial Scrub from Acure Organics. The tube you see here is the trial size available for $3.99 (Available at Target), thank you $1.50 off coupon!

The dry air this Winter has left my oily skin feeling dry, and resulting in very dry acne spots and flaking. This scrub is the answer to my skincare prayers! It rid my skin of the flaking dry skin, and improved the rough and uneven  texture left behind from acne scars.

Just a warning, if you have abrasion sensitive skin, DO NOT use this. The sea kelp will be too abrasive for your skin type. The scrub does leave the skin feeling slightly sensitive afterwards, so be cautious about using creams and oils following the scrub. This is ideal for those of us with oily, acne prone, or dry skin types.

Pacifica Dream Big Lash Extending 7 in 1 Mascara

Pacifica Dream Big Lash Extending Mascara

Mascaras are tricky for me to find. I have the world's shortest, stubbiest, and least curly lashes. They refuse to hold a curl unless worn with a waterproof mascara.

This new mascara from Pacifica, the Dream Big Lash Extending 7 in 1, exceeded all of my expectations! With claims of "Volumizing...Instant Length...Lash Lifting", I was expecting another dud. However, this mascara lived up to every single one of its claims!

With it's adjustable bristles, it's able to provide great volume and length to customize the mascara to your specific needs. The formula wears amazingly throughout the day, with zero flaking, smudging, or transferring! While not the most dramatic mascara on the market, for an everyday lash that will last all day, you cannot find one better with this clean of ingredients!

What products have been your go-to's and favorites this month?! With Sephora's VIB Sale coming up, I can't wait to buy some new products, let me know some product suggestions in the comments!
