FROZEN Nail Tutorial

Image
I wanted to do a fun nail look for you guys for the winter, somewhat FROZEN inspired! I did a basic ombre gradient technique in cool blue tones with a glitter accent. This nail tutorial is super easy and you do not have to be neat with it!  So let's get started! What you'll Need: Top Coat Base Coat Light-Medium Blue Nail Polish Light Blue-Green Nail Polish White Nail Polish Glitter Top Coat  STEP 1:   Paint a base coat onto your nails to protect your nails against staining and pealing. I used the Wet n Wild Base Coat. STEP 2:  Start at the base of you nail and paint one coat of the darkest color, in this case, Sinful Color Shine in " Alfresco ", a periwinkle blue, to your nails. Don't worry about being neat when applying these colors to your nails, the messier the better, we don't want straight lines dividing the colors. STEP 3:  Paint the middle shade onto the center of your nails and blending it into the...

French Manicure for Fall!

Image
I've really been into the dark nails for the Fall season, and because I'm not dressing up for Halloween this year I thought I would give you ladies a nail tutorial that goes perfectly for Fall and you can rock on Halloween to be a little festive without looking tacky. I used a dark purple and rose gold shade, but you can choose any contrasting colors you'd like. A deep red and black or blue and copper would look amazing too! Products Used: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat OPI 3-in-1 Base & Top Coat Revlon Nail Enamel in "Plum Night" Sinful Colors Nail Polish in "Super Nova" Step 1:   Begin painting a base coat onto your nails to protect the names from staining and help maintain the nail color we will be putting on. Step 2: Begin painting one coat of nail polish to each nail, in my case, Revlon Nail Enamel "Plum Night".  Step 3: Once the first coat of "Plum Night" is dry, begin painting the second ...

Dollar Tree & Big Lots Beauty Haul!

Image
I finally had a chance to swing by the Dollar Tree and Big Lots to see if they had any new makeup! Low and behold the Dollar Tree had a bunch of new Milani Cosmetics products! Big Lots had a lot of new Maybelline, Sinful Colors and Revlon nail polishes to pick through! From the Dollar Tree I picked out 2 of the Milani Infinite Liquid Eye Liners in 04 "Forever" and 02 "Endless" . There was one other shade in a cobalt blue, but I didn't think I could pull off the blue. They are the traditional liquid liners. These ones claim to be waterproof and last 24 hours. Milani Infinite Liquid Eye Liners From Big Lots I dug through the baskets of nail polishes they had. Their actual makeup wasn't too impressive. I saw lots of polishes from Revlon, Sinful Colors, Sephora X, and Maybelline. I picked up these colors because I thought they would look beautiful for the upcoming Fall season! I grabbed 2 shades by Revlon, both in the Brilliant Str...

August 2014 Beauty Favorites!

Image
This summer has really flown by! This month was my birthday month so I got a few new goodies to try! Here's my beauty and makeup favorites for the month of August! Prestige Total Intensity Eyeshadow in "Hocus Pocus" I picked up this single shadow by Prestige at the end of July from Ulta for $8.49 . I am absolutely loving it! The pigmentation is insane and I love the duo chrome finish of this shade! I've received many compliments when I've worn this. I'm definitely going to pick up a couple more shades! These are quickly becoming my favorite shadows ever! Full review HERE .  Sinful Shine Nail Polish in "Alfresco" My newest nail polish addition and my favorite to wear this summer is this bright periwinkle blue from the Sinful Shine collection by Sinful Colors! These are found only at Walgreens and are only $1.99 ! The color is just so beautiful and I find it lasts just as long on my nails as some OPI polishes. Full review HER...

Review: Sinful Colors Sinful Shine Nail Polish in "Alfresco"

Image
I recently picked up a shade from the semi-new line available from Sinful Colors, the Sinful Shine Nail Polish in "Alfresco" . They are available at Walgreens and depending on your location, can retail for between $1.99 and $2.99 . They are the standard Sinful Colors 0.5 fl oz size and are made in the USA. The Shine collection claims to have the same formula as a gel nail polish with the same high shine finish and the same long wearing formula . The packaging of this line is also slightly different from the original in that the top is a reflective steal grey versus the traditional non-reflective black. There are 32 shades available . "Alfresco" can best be described as a periwinkle blue . This is a creamy matte color with no shimmer or sparkle. The perfect color for spring and summer! What I love most about this shade is that it's almost completely opaque with 1 coat! I'd say it's about 90% opaque with one coat. Below on the right is ...
